MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Return of Natives of Mariana, Marshall and Caroline Islands.

1. This headquarters is contemplating arrangements whereby natives of the Mariana, Marshall and Caroline Islands now in Japan and so desirous may be returned to their home lands. Such arrangements for the time being are restricted exclusively to natives and do not authorize entrance into these mandates of any foreign nationals including Japanese, Okinawans and Koreans.
2. It. is desired that the Imperial Japanese Government furnish this headquarters by 28 December 1945 number by prefecture of total number of natives of Mariana, Marshall and Caroline Islands, now residents of Japan who desire repatriation, indicating the number to be returned to each island in the three above mentioned mandates.
