MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Repatriation Formosans and Ryukyuans from Korea via Japan.

1. This headquarters has directed that approximately 31 Formosans and 5 Ryukyuans now in Korea and desiring repatriation be shipped to Japan.
2. Commanding General Sixth Army will inform the local Japanese official the name of vessel on which subject personnel is transported, number aboard, estimated time of arrival, and port of discharge in Japan.
3. The Imperial Japanese Government will:
a. Move subject personnel from port of discharge in Japan to Kagoshima.
b. At Kagoshima, load said personnel less Okinawans aboard repatriation vessels sailing to appropriate destinations.
c. Care for any Okinawans among the group until such time as Okinawa is opened for repatriation.
