MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Repatriation of Formosans and Indonesians.

1. Reference is made to letter to this headquarters from Imperial Japanese Government, file C. L. O. No.881 (5.1), dated 5 December 1945, subject: "Repatriation of Formosans and Indonesians."
2. The Imperial Japanese Government will place aboard the Taian Maru, at Kure, 3500 Formosan repatriates for shipment to Kiirun, According to latest available information the Taian Maru is expected to sail from Kure for Kiirun the first week in January 1946, with final destination Singapore.
3. Request for repatriation of 52 Indonesians, mentioned in reference letter, is disapproved.
