MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Chinese Prisoners of War, Fukuoka Area.

1. It has been brought to the attention of this headquarters that considerable unrest is prevalent among various Chinese Prisoners of' War in the Fukuoka Area constituting a menace to the peace of that area.
2. It is desired that this personnel be included in the plan for repatriation of Chinese in accordance with Memorandum
GHQ SCAP, file AG 370.5 (1 Nov 45) GC, dated 1 November 1945, subject: "Repatriation of Non-Japanese Frow Japan". In this connection attention is directed to the requirements that Chinese formerly domiciled in northern and central China will be evacuated to ports in northern and central China respectively and for the present Chinese formerly domiciled in southern China will not be evacuated.
