MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Liquidation of Closed Banks by the Bank of Japan.

1. This Headquarters will transmit a statement of liquidation policy and procedure to the Bank of Japan as liquidator of the offices and branches in Japan of the Bank of Chosen, Bank of Taiwan, Chosen Colonization Bank, Banque Franco-Japonaise and Deutsche Bank for Ostasien.
2. The Imperial Japanese Government is directed to give assistance and supervision to the Bank of Japan to assure a satisfactory execution of policies and procedures established by this Headquarters.
3. Direct communication between the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Japan and interested Staff Sections of this Headquarters is hereby authorized to implement the desired liquidation.
4. An acknowledgement of the receipt of this memorandum is directed.

Basic letter informs Japanese Government that a set of instructions is being sent to the Bank of Japan, liquidator; that the Government is directed to render assistance and supervision, and that direct communication between Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Japan and this Headquarters is authorized.
2. The basic letter will facilitate the liquidation.
