MEMORANDUM FOR	JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
SUBJECT	Release of Precious Metal Commercial Forms from the Pool under Custody of the Ministry of Finance, Japanese Government; Released Stocks to be Used in Items Manufactured and Processed for Export.

1. Reference is made to the following:
a. C.L.O. No. 165(LO 4871-FI/2E), 12 January 1948, subject, "Tenth Supplemental Request for Approval of Domestic Consumption of Precious Metals in the First Quarter of 1948;"
b. C.L.C.O. No. 165(LO 448), 10 February 1948, subject, "Sixth Supplemental Request for Permission of Domestic Consumption of Precious Metals in the Second Quarter of 1948;"
c. Memorandum for the Japanese Government, file AG 410.2 (22 Nov 47)CPC/GP, SCAPIN 1825, 22 November 1947, subject, "Application for Use of Precious Metals for Domestic Consumption during the Period from Fourth Quarter of'1947 through Third Quarter of 1948," from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers.
2. Application for permission to use liquid gold, as requested by reference 1a above, is approved, as altered, in the amounts and by the companies listed below. Liquid gold stocks from the pooled reserve under custody of the Ministry of Finance, Japanese Government, and released by reference 1c above, or by similar allocation will be drawn upon to supply the liquid gold authorized.
