MEMORANDUM FOR	JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
SUBJECT	Additional Application for Permission to Use Precious Metals for Domestic Consumption in the First Quarter of 1948.

1. Reference is made to C.L.O. No. 9320 (LO 4515-Fl/FF), 4 December 1947, subject, "Additional Application for Permission to Use Precious Metals for Domestic Consumption in the First Quarter of 1948."
2. Application for permission to use liquid gold, as requested by reference 1 above, is approved, as altered, in the amounts and by companies listed. Liquid gold stocks in the pooled reserve under custody of the Ministry of Finance will be drawn upon to supply the liquid gold authorized. The firms listed below may be used to further process the liquid gold as noted:
