MEMORANDUM FOR

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Reinstatement of ABE, Miotaro, former Professor and Student Inspector at Rikkyo University.

1. So much of Memorandum, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, (SCAPIN 183), AG ▲00.3 (24 Oct 45)CIE, subject, "Violation of Religious Freedom" as pertains to "Miotaro Abe, Teacher, former Student Inspector" is hereby rescinded.
2. Upon receipt of this Memorandum, the Japanese Government will reinstate ABE, Miotaro, in his former position at Rikkyo University.
3. This action is directed because further investigation has disclosed that there is no substantial evidence of ABE'S having-been active in the suppression of religious freedom in Rikkyo University.
4. It is further directed that ABE be screened in accordance with provisions of Japanese Government Ordinance 62.
