MEMORANDUM FOR

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Registered Code Addresses for Delivery of Telegrams.

1. The Japanese Government will instruct the Ministry of Communications to cause the code addresses shown below to be registered, for an indefinite period of time, in the cities in which the respective hotels are located and to issue all necessary instructions at its various international radiotelegraph terminals, or other offices, to the end that all messages received addressed to the several code addresses shown below will be promptly delivered in accordance with the following instructions except when directed otherwise by Civil Censorship Officer or his representatives.
a. All messages addressed HOTETO or to any individual in care of HOTETO will be delivered directly to Hotel Teito, (formerly the Imperial Forestry Bureau Building) Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
b. All messages addressed HOTOKO or to any individual in care of HOTOKO will be delivered directly to Hotel Tokyo, (formerly the Sumitomo Bank Building) Marunouchi, Chiyo-ku, Tokyo.
c. All messages addressed HOTERAKUYO or to any individual in care of HOTERAKUYO will be delivered directly to Hotel Rakuyo, Shichijyo-Horikawa, Shimokyo-ku, Kyoto-shi.
d. All messages addressed HOTOKIWA or to any individual in care of HOTOKIWA will be delivered directly to Hotel Tokiwa, Nunoikemachi, Nagoya-shi.
e. All messages addressed HOTENANIW or to any individual in care of HOTENANIWA will be delivered directly to Hotel Naniwa, (Formerly Maternity Hospital) Kitaogimachi, Kita-ku, Osaka-shi.
2. The effective registration date for the code addresses shown in paragraph 1a through 1d above will be 1 august 1947.
3. The effective registration date for the code address shown in paragraph 1e above will be 31 August 1947.
4. Direct communications between the Civil Communications Section, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, and the Ministry of Communications, regarding procedures within the scope of this memorandum, are authorized.
