SUBJECT

Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals.

1. Memorandum to the Japanese Government dated 6 Nov 46, file AG 000.5 (6 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1317), wherein the Japanese Government was directed to deliver one NAGATA, Satashige, Corporal, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said NAGATA's name for the reason he has been reported as "Killed in Action" in Burma, in 1945. This name appears as the first name on Page No.3 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Japanese Government dated 31 Mar 47, file AG 000.5 ( 31 Mar 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1590, wherein the Japanese Government was directed to deliver one TOKIMATSU, Senshi, Major, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said TOKIMATSU's name for the reason it has been reported that he died at Was▲▲ee on 17 October 1945. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No.2 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
