MEMORANDUM FOR

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

SUBJECT

Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals.

1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 7 Sep 46, file AG 000.5 (7 Sep 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1188), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one NARUSE, Morokata, Major, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said NARUSE's name for the reason that NARUSE is no longer required. This name appears as the twelfth name on Page No. 5 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 12 Nov 46, file AG 000.5 (12 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1331), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver HANAMURA, Yoshio, Civilian, MIYACHI, (FNU), Sgt. Major, MORIYAMA, (FNU), Lieutenant Colonel, SAKAI, (FNU), Captain, SHIOYA, (FNU), Lieutenant Colonel, SUGIMURA, (FNU), Lieutenant, TEJIMA, (FNU), Lieutenant Colonel, WAKIHARA, Kozoke, Civilian, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete the names of the above mentioned Japanese for the reason that they are no longer required. HANAMURA's name appears as the first name on Page No. 2, MIYACHI's name appears as the third name on Page No. 4, MORIYAMA's name appears as the fifth name on Page No. 4, SAKAI's name appears as the fourth name on Page No. 5, SHIOYA's name appears as the ninth name on Page No. 5, SUGIMURA's name appears as the tenth name on Page No. 5, TEJIMA's name appears as the fifth name on Page No. 6, WAKIHARA's name appears as the seventh name on Page No. 6 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
3. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 10 Jan 47, file AG 000.5 (10 Jan 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1456), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one KONNO, (FNU), Major, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said KONNO's name for the reason that KONNO is no longer required. This name appears as the fourth name on Pape No. 4 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
4. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 29 Jan 47, file AG 000.5 (29 Jan 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1496), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver KATO, (FNU), Captain, and YAMADA, Shiu, Lieutenant, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete the names of the above mentioned Japanese for the reason that they are no longer required. KATO's name appears as the fifth name on Page No. 2 and YAMADA's name appears as the first name on Page No. 4 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
5. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 12 Apr 47, file AG 000.5 (12 Apr 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1607), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver ITO, Yoshio (Tomio), Superior Private, OGAWA, Eichi, Colonel, and TAKAHAGI, Aragi, Civilian, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete the names of the above mentioned Japanese for the reason that they are no longer required. ITO's name appears as the second name on Page No. 1, OGAWA's name appears as the third name on Page No. 2, and TAKAHAGI's name appears as the fifth name on Page No. 2 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
