Joint Application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd. (Dai Nippon Boseki K.K.), and Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd. (Suzumasa Chomo Orimono K.K.), for Removal of the Latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns

1. References are the following memoranda:
a. Central Liaison Office Memorandum No. 4768 (LO 1428/700), dated 17 September 1946, subject: Joint Application of Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Co., Ltd, and Japan Cotton Spinning Co., Ltd. for Removal of the Former from Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
b. Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 004 (8 Dec 45) ESS/AC, (SCAPIN 403), dated 8 December 1945, subject: Establishment of a Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
c. Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 004 (8 Jun 46) ESS/AC, (SCAPIN 1004), dated 8 June 1946, subject: Addition of Certain Textile Companies to the Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
2. Reference Memorandum 1a, above, forwards joint application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd, and Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, for removal of the latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns established by reference memorandum 1b, above, to which it was added by reference memorandum 1c, above.
3. The Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, is hereby removed from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns and additions thereto, referred to in paragraph 1b and c, above.

1. CLO Memorandum No. 4768 (LO 1428/700), 17 September 1946, forwards Joint application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd, and Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, for removal of the latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns established by SCAP Memorandum AG 004 (8 Dec 45) ESS/AC (SCAPIN-403), subject: "Establishment of a Schedule of Restricted Concerns,” to which was added by SCAP Memorandum AG 004 (8 Jun 45) ESS/AC (SCAPIN-1004), subject: "Addition of Certain Textile Companies to the Schedule of Restricted Concerns.”
2. a. The Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, manufactured and sold woolen textiles prior to its dissolution which was effected prior to 8 June 1943, the date it was placed on the Schedule of Restricted Concerns. It was capitalized at \180, 000 and had assets in excess of \233,000.
b. On 10 May 1946, it was decided at the General Stockholders’ meeting that Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, would be dissolved. Registration for dissolution was performed at the Hamamatsu District Court on 28 May 1945. Thereafter the remaining assets were disposed of in accordance with the Commercial Code of Japan.
c. Registration of the completion of dissolution will consummate the legal procedure necessary to formally dissolve the company. When this is completed, the corporate entity of Suzumasa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, will no longer exist.
d. In view of the above, no objection is offered to this application.
4. This is an administrative matter and no surveillance by the Eighth Army is required.
5. The interests of USAFIK are not concerned.
