Joint Application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd. (dai Nippon Boseki K.K.), and Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd. (shinkawa Boshoku K.K.), for Removal of the Latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns

a. Central Liaison Office Memorandum No. 4767(LO 1427/701), dated 17 September 1946, subject: Joint Application of Japan Cotton Spinning Co., Ltd. and Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Co., Ltd. for Removal of the Latter from Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
b. Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 004 (8 Dec 45) ESS/AC, (SCAPIN-403), dated 8 December 1945, subject: Establishment of a Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
c. Memorandum for the Imperial Japanese Government from General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, AG 004 (8 Jun 46) ESS/AC, (SCAPIN-1004), dated 8 June 1946, subject: Addition of Certain Textile Companies to the Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
2. Reference memorandum 1a, above, forwards joint application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd, and Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, for removal of the latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns established by reference memorandum 1b, above, to which it was added by reference memorandum 1c, above.
3. Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, is hereby removed from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns and the additions thereto, referred to in paragraph 1b and c, above, respectively.

1. CLO Memorandum No. 4767 (LO 1427/701), 17 September 1946, forwards joint application of Dai Nippon Cotton Spinning Company, Ltd, and Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, for removal of the latter from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns established by SCAP Memorandum AG 004 (8 Dec 45) ESS/AC (SCAPIN-403), subject: "Establishment of a Schedule of Restricted Concerns" to which it was added by SCAP Memorandum AG 004 (8 Jun 46) ESS/AC (SCAPIN-1004), subject: "Addition of Certain Textile Companies to the Schedule of Restricted Concerns. "
2. a. The Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, had engaged in spinning, weaving and dyeing of woolen textiles prior to its dissolution which was effected before it was placed on the Schedule of Restricted Concerns, on 8 June 1946. It was capitalized at \100,000 and had assets in excess of \125,000 in June 1946.
b. On 20 January 1946, it was decided at the General Stockholders meeting that Shinkawa Woolen Weaving Company, Ltd, would be dissolved. Registration and other requirements for dissolution were accomplished at the Nagoya District Court on 28 February 1946, and thereafter the disposition of property, collection of credits, and payments of debts were completed. As a result, the proper distribution of the remaining assets had been carried out in accordance with the Commercial Code of Japan.
c. Only registration of the completion of liquidation is now required. When this is completed the corporate entity of the company will no longer exist; therefore, no objection is offered to the application to remove the company from the Schedule of Restricted Concerns.
3. The interests of USAFIK are not concerned.
4. This is an administrative matter, and no surveillance by the Eighth Army is required.
