SUBJECT | Repatriation of Chinese Laborers by Kokoku Maru. |
1. Reference is made to memorandum Central Liaison Office C. L. O. No 277, 16 October 1945, Subject: Repatriation of Chinese Laborers by Kokoku Maru".
2. Your plan to employ Kokoku Maru to return to Central China approximately 971 Chinese laborers originally domiciled in Central Chinese and who are now residing in Japan is approved.
3. Request for U. S. guards aboard subject ship is not favorably considered. It is the understanding ▲▲ this headquarters t▲▲ subject ship will navigate under supervision of Chinese officers.
4. Ship is authorized to load coal as fuel for return voyages as directed by SCAJAF.
5. It is directed that the Chinese be moved to Hakata at such time as to spend minimum time there and yet cause no delay in loading the ship.
