SUBJECT | Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals. |
1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 17 Jan 46, file AG 000.5 (17 Jan 46) LS-R, wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one SAKAI, Takashi, Lieutenant General, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said SAKAI's name for the reason that he has been tried and executed by the Chinese authorities. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No. 6 the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 19 Feb 47, file AG 000.5 (19 Feb 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1531), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one TSUTSUI, Tomiichi, Captain, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison, (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said TSUTSUI's name for the reason that TSUTSUI is no longer required. This name appears as the fifth name on Page No. 7 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
