MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

SUBJECT

Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals.

1, Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 6 Nov 46, file AG 000.5 (6 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1317), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one ANDO, (FNU) Lieutenant, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said ANDO's name for the reason that ANDO has been positively identified as the ANDO, Noboru who committed suicide at SOURABAYA, Java, 15 September 1945. This name appears as the first name on Page No. 1 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 7 Sep 46, file AG 000.5 (7 Sep 46) LS-R (SCAPIN 1188), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one BABASAKI, Hiroshi, Private, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said BABASAKI's name for the reason that BABASAKI has been confirmed as "Killed in Action", in BURMA, 2 August 1944. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No. 1 of the above
mentioned Memorandum.
