SUBJECT

Quarantine Procedures for Repatriates from Cholera Ports.

1.Reference is made to Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 370.05 (7 May 46)GC, (SCAPIN 927), dated 7 May 1946, subject: Repatriation, as amended.
2. Rangoon, Burma, is designated a "cholera port."
3. The British ship Dilwara carrying approximately 1,632 Japanese repatriates is scheduled to arrive at Kure on or about 6 April 1947.
4. The Imperial Japanese Government will apply the quarantine and other procedures prescribed in paragraph 3, Annex V. of reference paragraph 1 above, for repatriated arriving in Japan on shipping from Rangoon, including Japanese repatriated aboard the ship Dilwara upon its arrival at Kure.
