SUBJECT | Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals. |
1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 10 Jan 47, file AG 000.5 (10 Jan 47) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1456), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one GENDA, Sawagi, Lt., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said GENDA7s name for the reason he is no longer required. This name appears as the first name on Page No. 2 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 31 May 46, file AG 000.5 (31 May 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 991), wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one TSUSHI, Teruo, Civilian, to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison ( Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said TSUSHI's name for the reason he is the same man who appeared on L. S. Apprehension Memorandum dated 5 Nov 46 as ZUSHI, Teruo, and is presently on trial in South East Asia. This name appears as the sixth name on Page No.4 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
