SUBJECT

Apprehension of Suspected War Criminals.

1. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 7 September 1946, file AG 000.5 (7 Sep 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1188) wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one AKIOSHI, Ichiro, Sgt., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said AKIOSHI's name for the reason that he has been identified to be the same as AKIYOSHI, Yoshijiro who appeared on Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 12 November 1946, file AG 000.5 (12 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1331). AKIOSHI, Ichiro appears as the second name on Page No. 1 of the Memorandum dated 7 Sep 46, file AG 000.5 (7 Sep 46) LS-R.
2. Memorandum to the Imperial Japanese Government dated 12 November 1946, file AG 000.5 (12 Nov 46) LS-R, (SCAPIN 1331) wherein the Imperial Japanese Government was directed to deliver one AKIYOSHI, Yoshijiro, Sgt., to the Commanding General, EIGHTH Army at Sugamo Prison (Tokyo Detention Camp), at the earliest possible date, is amended to delete said AKIYOSHI's name for the reason that he has been reported deceased. This name appears as the third name on Page No. 1 of the above mentioned Memorandum.
