SUBJECT | Repatriation of Evacuees from Bonin Islands. |
1. Reference is made to:
a. Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 370.05 (7 May 46) GC, (SCAPIN-927), dated 7 May 1946, subject: "Repatriation" as amended.
b. Memorandum from the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, file AG 014.33 (20 Sep 46) GC, (SCAPIN-1221), dated 20 September 1946, subject as above.
c. Memorandum from the Central Liaison Office, Number 4929 (RF), dated 25 September 1946, subject as above.
2. Authority is granted to repatriate the individuals as requested in memorandum reference paragraph 1 c above in accordance with instructions contained in referenced paragraphs 1 a and 1 b above.
3. The Keyaki departing Uraga on or about 15 October 1946 for Guam is designated to repatriate those persons authorized by reference 1 b above and by provisions of this memorandum to the Bonin Islands.
4. The Imperial Japanese Government will, in regard to those persons listed in reference 1 c above.
a. Notify them of this authorization to be repatriated.
b. Insure their arrival at the Uraga Reception Center prior to 15 October 1946 and their outloading on shipping as designated herein.
