MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Supplemental Instructions Pertaining to the Closing of Financial Institutions.

1. Reference is memorandum this headquarters AG 091.3, For: The Imperial Japanese Government, Subject: Closing of Colonial and Foreign Banks and Special Wartime Institutions, dated 30 September 1945.
2. The following supplemental instructions pertinent to the above memorandum are hereby effective:
a. The Ministry of Finance will establish central offices where all the employees of closed institutions will register and will report weekly for instructions. The name, addresses, position and salary of each employee will be obtained.
b. The Ministry of Finance may arrange for the payment of October salaries to all employees who have registered, except to those who are required to be discharged pursuant to previous instructions from this Headquarters. In addition, the Ministry of Finance may arrange for the continued payment of October allowances to the families of employees of closed institutions who have not returned from military service, provided a member of the family has registered.
c. Lists of employees of the closed institutions will be delivered promptly to this Headquarters, such lists to contain the name, address, position and salary.
d. Lists of discharged employees will be promptly delivered to this Headquarters, such lists to contain the names, address, position and salary.
e. The ordinance to be issued by the Ministry of Finance to effectuate paragraph 6 of memorandum file AG 091.3 (30 Sep 45) ESS of 30 September, 1945, will contain provisions nullifying any transfers or acts of disposition which were effected subsequent to 30 September, 1945 and requiring persons having custody or possession of any books, records or other property of the closed institutions to deliver the same to the Ministry of Finance.
3. Acknowledgement of the receipt of this memorandum is desired.
