MEMORANDUM FOR

IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.

THROUGH

Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.

SUBJECT

Medical Major General Ishii Shiro.

1. The Imperial Japanese Government will immediately escort Major General ISHII to Tokyo and hold him at the disposal of General Headquarters, Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers.
2. Imperial Japanese Government will advise This Headquarters immediately upon General ISHII's arrival in Tokyo and will report in detail, giving the present whereabouts of General ISHII, reason for non-appearance and date by which his arrival may be expected, provided he has not reached Tokyo by 2400 (Midnight) 16 January 1946.
3. General ISHII was appointed Commanding General of the Kanto Gun, Boeki-Kyusui Bu on 1 March 1945. It is reported that he is now in the Kanazawa Area and that his whereabouts are known to ISHIKAWA Tatsuo, Professor of Pathology at Kanazawa Medical College.
