MEMORANDUM FOR	IMPERIAL JAPANESE GOVERNMENT.
THROUGH	Central Liaison Office, Tokyo.
SUBJECT	Reactivation of Facilities at Sasebo Navy Yard.

You are directed to place in operation those facilities at the Sasebo Navy Yard which can be used for maintenance and repair of merchant and demilitarize Naval vessels operating under Shipping Control Authority for Japan and for the repair of vessels of occupation forces. Facilities which will contribute to salvage and scrapping operations will likewise be reactivated. Facilities which do not contribute to these purposes will not be reactivated.
