Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twenty-second day of the twelfth month of the twenty-sixth year of Showa (December 22, 1951) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.317 Law for Partial Amendments to the Imperial Household Agency Law The Imperial Household Agency Law (Law No.70 of 1947) shall be partially amended as follows: In Article 1-(2), "Board of The Empress Dowager's Affairs" shall be deleted. Article 1-(5) shall be deleted, Article 1-(6) shall be made Article 1-(5), and the succeeding Articles down to Article 1-(9) shall be moved up by one. Supplementary Provisions: 1 This Law shall come into force as from January 1, 1952. 2 The Law concerning Compensation for National Public Service Personnel in Special Government Service (Law No.252 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows: In Article 1 item (16), "Grand Master of The Empress Dowager's Household," shall be deleted, in item (23) of the same Article, "Chief Lady-In-Waiting to The Empress Dowager," and "Ladies-In-Waiting to The Empress Dowager," shall be deleted.
