I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and Other Allowances to the Members of the Diet. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This thirtieth day of the eleventh month of the twenty-sixth year of Showa (November 30, 1951) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.276 Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and Other Allowances to the Members of the Diet The Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and Other Allowances (Law No.80 of 1947) shall be amended as follows: In Article 1, "sixty thousand (60,000) yen" shall be amended as "eighty thousand (80,000) yen" ; "forty-eight thousand (48,000) yen" as "sixty-four thousand (64,000) yen" ;and "forty-three thousand (43,000) yen" as "fifty-seven thousand (57,000) yen." In Article 9, "three thousand (3,000) yen" shall be amended as "five thousand (5,000) yen." In Article 10, twelve thousand (12,000) yen "shall be amended as" thirteen thousand five hundred (13,500) yen." Supplementary Provisions: 1 This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation, and the amended provisions of Article 1 and Article 10 shall become applicable as from October 1, 1951, and the amended provision of Article 9, as from November 1, 1951. 2 Any annual payment and/or salary already received by the Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Diet members and their secretaries to cover the period on and after October 1, 1951, shall be regarded as a partial payment of the annual payment and/or salary receivable under the present Law. Any payment already received by the Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and Diet members as communication expenses to cover the period on and after November 1, 1951, shall also be treated likewise.
