        <ArticleCaption>(Partial Amendment to the Customs Law)</ArticleCaption>
        <ArticleTitle>Article 1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Customs Law (Law No.61 of 1899) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>

              <Sentence>Article 104 shall be amended as follows:</Sentence>
            </AmendProvisionSentence>

              <Article Num="104">
                <ArticleTitle>Article 104.</ArticleTitle>
                <Paragraph Num="1">
                  <ParagraphNum/>
                  <ParagraphSentence>
                    <Sentence>With regard to the application of this Law, those areas of the Japanese territory, outside of Honshu, Hokkaido, Shikoku and Kyushu, which may be designated by Cabinet Order, shall be treated as foreign territory for the time being.</Sentence>

        <ArticleCaption>(Partial Amendment to the Customs Tariff Law)</ArticleCaption>

          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Customs Tariff Law (Law No.54 of 1910) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>

              <Sentence>Article 12 shall be amended as follows:</Sentence>

                <ArticleTitle>Article 12.</ArticleTitle>
                <Paragraph Num="1">
                  <ParagraphNum/>
                  <ParagraphSentence>
                    <Sentence>With regard to the application of this Law, those areas of the Japanese territory, outside of Honshu, Hokkaido, Shikoku and Kyushu, which may be designated by Cabinet Order, shall be treated as foreign territory for the time being.</Sentence>

          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Law for Partial Amendment to the Customs Tariff Law (Law No.110 of 1951) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>

            <AmendProvisionSentence>
              <Sentence>Paragraph 4 of the Supplementary Provisions shall be amended as follows:</Sentence>
            </AmendProvisionSentence>
            <NewProvision>
              <Paragraph Num="4">
                <ParagraphNum>4.</ParagraphNum>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The import duty on any commodity produced in the area treated as foreign territory by virtue of provisions of Article 12 of the Customs Tariff Law, shall, in accordance with the provisions of Cabinet Order, be exempted for the time being.</Sentence>

            <Sentence>The Tonnage Dues Law (Law No.88 of 1899) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>

          <Sentence>Of this Law, the amended provision of paragraph 5 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Law for Partial Amendment to the Customs Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation, and other provisions shall come into force as from the day of the first coming into force of the Treaty of Peace with Japan.</Sentence>
