I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendment to the National Public Opinion Research Institute Establishment Law for Adjustment of Councils, etc. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This first day of the sixth month of the twenty-sixth year of Showa (June 1, 1951) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.170 Law for Partial Amendment to the National Public Opinion Research Institute Establishment Law for Adjustment of Councils, etc. The National Public Opinion Research Institute Establishment Law (Law No.128 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows: Article 5 paragraph 2 shall be amended as follows: 2 The Director of the Institute shall ask the consent of the Board with regard to the following matters: (1) To determine the policy of survey and research of the Institute; (2) To determine research program; (3) To determine the form of publication of the results. In Article 6 paragraph 2, "with the consent of the Board" shall be deleted. In Article 8 paragraph 2, "with the consent of the Board" shall be amended as "after hearing the advice of the Board" .
