I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Exceptions to the Authority of Assistant Judges, etc. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This nineteenth day of the twelfth month of the twenty-fifth year of Showa (December 19, 1950) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.280 Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Exceptions to the Authority of Assistant Judges, etc. The Law concerning the Exceptions to the Authority of Assistant Judges, etc.(Law No.146 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows: In Article 2 paragraph 3, next to "Technical Councillor (Sangi-kan) of the Technical Affairs Board," "a Presiding Judge (Shimban-cho), a Judge (Shimban-kan) or a Complaints Judge (Kokoku-Shimban-kan) of the Patent Agency whose official rank is Secretary (Jimu-kan) of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, an Examiner (Shinri-kan) to be established in the Radio Regulatory Commission" shall be added. The following one Article shall be added next to Article 3:

Article 3-(2). In case those who have finished study as judicial apprentices held office as a specialist or an investigator of the Standing Committee for Judicial Affairs of the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors, a secretary (Sanji) of the Legislative Bureau of the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors, a Presiding Judge (Shimban-cho), a Judge (Shimban-kan) or a Complaints Judge (Kokoku-Shimban-kan) of the Patent Agency whose official rank is Secretary of the Ministry of International Trade and Insutry or an Examiner (Shinri-kan) to be established in the Radio Regulatory Commission, the years of their holding office shall be deemed the years of holding office of a secretary of the Attorney-General's Office, in respect of the application of the provisions of Articles 41, 42 and 44 of the Court Organization Law.

In Article 5 paragraph 1, next to "shall be deemed the years of holding office of an assistant judge;the years of holding office of," "a specialist or an investigator of the Standing Committee for Judicial Affairs of the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors, a secretary (Sanji) of the Legislative Bureau of the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors," shall be added and next to "Technical Councillor (Sangi-kan) of the Technical Affairs Board," "a Presiding Judge (Shimban-cho), a Judge (Shimban-kan) or a Complaints Judge (Kokoku-Shimban-kan) of the Patent Agency whose official rank is Secretary of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, an Examiner (Shinri-kan) to be established in the Radio Regulatory Commission," shall be added, and in paragraph 2 of the same Article, next to "Article 3," "and Article 3-(2)," shall be added.
