    <LawTitle>Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Special Account for the Disposal of the U. S. Aid Commodities, Etc. to Japan</LawTitle>
    <MainProvision>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The Law concerning the Special Account for the Disposal of the U. S. Aid Commodities, Etc. to Japan (Law No.65 of 1950) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
        <AmendProvision>
          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>In Article 1, next to "(hereinafter referred to as" the aid commodities ")" , "and the commodities delivered to the Japanese Government from the Allied Forces (hereinafter referred to as" the delivered commodities ")" shall be added.</Sentence>
          </AmendProvisionSentence>
        </AmendProvision>
        <AmendProvision>
          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>In Article 3 paragraph 1, "the proceeds from the sale of the aid commodities" shall be amended as "the proceeds from the sale of the aid commodities and the delivered commodities" , next to "for the aid services," , "commissions" shall be added, and "and aid services," shall be amended as ", delivered commodities and aid services," .</Sentence>
          </AmendProvisionSentence>
        </AmendProvision>

          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>Paragraph 5 of the Supplementary Provisions shall be made paragraph 8 of the Supplementary Provisions, and the paragraph thereafter shall be moved down by 3 paragraphs;and the following three paragraphs shall be added next to paragraph 4 of the Supplementary Provisions:</Sentence>

            <Paragraph Num="5">
              <ParagraphNum>5</ParagraphNum>
              <ParagraphSentence>
                <Sentence>In case the U. S. Government intends to make imported commodities (excluding the U. S. aid commodities;the same hereinafter up to paragraph 7 of the Supplementary Provisions) the U. S. aid commodities, the Japanese Government is authorized to purchase the imported commodities designated by the U. S. Government, on the burden of this Account, and sell them to the U. S. Government, in accordance with the request of the U. S. Government.</Sentence>

            </Paragraph>
            <Paragraph Num="6">
              <ParagraphNum>6</ParagraphNum>
              <ParagraphSentence>
                <Sentence>With respect to the purchase of the Japanese Government of the imported commodities under the provision of the preceding paragraph, the price for consideration of the said commodities may be paid in kind by the said commodities themselves to be delivered from the U. S. Government as the U. S. Aid Commodities to Japan.</Sentence>

              <ParagraphNum>7</ParagraphNum>
              <ParagraphSentence>
                <Sentence>In case the imported commodities are sold to the U. S. Government in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 5 of the Supplementary Provisions, this Account shall receive, as annual revenues, an amount of yen converted from the dollar price of the said commodities at the exchange rate prescribed in Article 3 paragraph 3.</Sentence>

            </Paragraph>

      </Paragraph>

    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provisions:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum>1.</ParagraphNum>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
      <Paragraph Num="2">
        <ParagraphNum>2.</ParagraphNum>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The Foreign Trade Special Account Law (Law No.41 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
        <AmendProvision>
          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>In Article 1, next to "U. S. Aid Commodities to Japan" , ", the commodities delivered to the Japanese Government from the Allied Forces" (hereinafter referred to as "the delivered commodities" )"shall be added.</Sentence>
          </AmendProvisionSentence>
        </AmendProvision>

          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>In Article 3, next to "the U. S. Aid Commodities to Japan" , "and the delivered commodities" shall be added.</Sentence>
          </AmendProvisionSentence>

      </Paragraph>
