I hereby promulgated the Law for Partial Amendments to the Public Bath Law. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This seventeenth day of the fifth month of the twenty-fifth year of Showa (May 17, 1950) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.187 Law for Partial Amendments to the Public Bath Law The Public Bath Law (Law No.139 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows: Article 2 paragraph 2 shall be amended as follows: 2 The prefectural governor may refuse the permit as provided for in the preceding paragraph in case he deems the location of the public bathhouse or the structure or accommodation thereof improper from the standpoint of public health, or its locality unsuitable. However, such denial shall be made in writing, with a statement of the reason therefor. The following one paragraph shall be added next to paragraph 2 of the same Article: 3 The standard for the locality as mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be provided for by the prefecture in a by-law.
