Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This tenth day of the fifth month of the twenty-fifth year of Showa (May 10, 1950) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.160 Law for Partial Amendments to the Japanese National Railways Law The Japanese National Railways Law (Law No.256 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows: Next to Article 5, the following one paragraph shall be added: 2 The Government may make additional investments, when it is deemed necessary, in the Japanese National Railways within the limit of amount prescribed in the budget. In this case, the Japanese National Railways shall increase its capital by the amount of such additional investments. Supplementary Provision: This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation, and shall apply as from April 1, 1950.
