Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This nineteenth day of the twelfth month of the twenty-fourth year of Showa (December 19, 1949) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.276 Law for Partial Amendments to the Temporary Restaurant Business Control Law The Temporary Restaurant Business Control Law (Law No.52, 1949) shall be partially amended as follows: Article 8 shall be amended as follows:

Article 8. Deleted.

In Article 10, "or Article 8" and "or grocery coupons" shall be deleted. In Article 11 paragraph 2, "or grocery coupons" shall be deleted;paragraph 3 shall be paragraph 4, and "the preceding two paragraphs" in the same paragraph, shall be amended as "the preceding three paragraphs" , paragraph 4 shall be paragraph 5, and "par.1 or par.2" shall be amended as "par.1, par.2 or par.3" , and the following one paragraph shall be added as paragraph 3: 3 When the prefectural governor has suspended the restaurant business or has cancelled the restaurant business licence in accordance with the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs, or when he recognizes that there is a person who is engaged in the restaurant business without obtaining the licence under the provision of Article 3 paragraph 1 of the prefectural governor, if he deems it necessary, may order the person concerned who engages in the restaurant business to take some measures such as to seal the equipment and installation necessary to carry on the restaurant business, in accordance with the provisions provided for in the Ministerial Ordinance issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. In Article 13, "Article 8" shall be amended as "Article 7" . Supplementary Provisions: 1. This Law shall come into force as from January 1, 1950. 2. As for the application of penal provisions to the unlawful acts committed prior to the enforcement of this Law, the precedents shall be followed.
