I hereby promulgate the Law for Readjustment of Laws in Compliance with the Enforcement of the Ministry of Welfare Establishment Law. Article 1. A part of Eugenic Protection Law (Law No.156, 1948) shall be amended as follows: The words "Eugenic Protection Commission" , "Central Eugenic Protection Commission" , "Prefectural Eugenic Protection Commission" and "District Eugenic Protection Commission" shall be amended as respectively, "Eugenic Protection Council" , "Central Eugenic Protection Council" , "Prefectural Eugenic Protection Council" and "District Eugenic Protection Council." In paragraphs 2 and 4 of Article 18 the words "Each Eugenic Protection Commission" shall be amended as "Each Eugenic Protection Council" .

Article 2. A part of Food Sanitation Law (Law No.223, 1947) shall be amended as follows: "Chapter VII Food Sanitation Committee" shall be amended as "Chapter VII Food Sanitation Investigation Council" . In Article 25 "food sanitation committee" , "Central Food Sanitation Committee" and "Local Food Sanitation Committee" shall be amended as, respectively, "Food Sanitation Investigation Council" , "Central Food Sanitation Investigation Council" and "Local Food Sanitation Investigation Council" .

Article 3. A part of Law regarding Dissolution and Liquidation of Medical Association, Dental Association and Japan Medical Treatment Corporation (Law No.128, 1947) shall be amended as follows: In paragraph 2 of Article 14, paragraph 2 of Article 15 and in Article 21, "Control Committee for Liquidation of Japan Medical Treatment Corporation" shall be amended as "Advisory Council on Liquidation of Japan Medical Treatment Corporation" .

Article 4. A part of Law for Business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxa-Cautery, Judo-Orthopaedy, etc.(Law No.217, 1947) shall be amended as follows: In Article 13 "consultative committee for the business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxa-Cautery and Judo-Orthopaedy" shall be amended as "Council on Practice of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxa-Cautery&Judo-Orthopaedics" , and in the same Article and Article 20 "Committee" shall be amended as "Council" .

Article 5. A part of Pharmaceutical Affairs Law (Law No.197, 1948) shall be amended as follows: "Chapter III National Board of Pharmacy" shall be amended as "Chapter III National Council on Pharmacy" . In Articles 7, 8, 10, 19, 30 and 52, "National Board of Pharmacy" shall be amended as "National Council on Pharmacy" . In Articles 8 and 11, in paragraph 2 of Article 15 and in Articles 16 to 18 inclusive, "Board" shall be amended as "Council" . In paragraph 1 of Article 10, "subcommittees" , "National Pharmacist Examination Subcommittee" , "Official Compendium Subcommittee" and "New and Non-official Drug Subcommittee" shall be amended as respectively, "subcouncils" , "National Pharmacist Examination Subcouncil" , "Official Compendium Subcouncil" and "New and Non-official Drug Subcouncil" ;and in paragraph 2 of the same Article "special subcommittees" shall be amended as "special subcouncils" .

Article 6. A part of Social Work Law (Law No.99, 1938) shall be amended as follows: In Articles 7, 8 and 13, "Central Social Work Committee" shall be amended as "Central Social Work Council" . In Article 9, "Local Social Work Committee" shall be amended as "Local Social Work Council" .

Article 7. A part of Repatriation Relief Agency Establishment Ordinance (Cabinet Order No.124, 1948) shall be amended as follows: Paragraph 1 of Supplementary Provisions shall be amended as follows: This Cabinet Order shall come into force as from May 31, 1948.
