I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the National Public Service Law. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This thirty-first day of the fifth month of the twenty-fourth year of Showa (May 31, 1949) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.125 Law for Partial Amendments to the National Public Service Law The National Public Service Law (Law No.120 of 1947) shall be amended partially as follows: In Article 2 paragraph 3 item 5, "Deputy Director-General of the Cabinet Secretariat" (Naikaku-Kamho-Jicho) shall be amended as "Deputy Director of the Cabinet Secretariat" (Naikaku-Kambo-Fukuchokan);and in item 7 of the same paragraph, "Director-General of the Central Liaison and Coordination Office" shall be amended as "Parliamentary Councillors" (Sanseikan). In Article 2 paragraph 3 item 8, "Minister of State" shall be amended as "Minister of State, Director of the Cabinet Secretariat" ;in item 10 of the same paragraph, "Director of the Imperial Household Office" shall be amended as Grand Steward of the Imperial Household Agency "and" Imperial Household Office "shall be amended as" Imperial Household Agency". In Article 2 paragraph 3 item 14, "as from July 1, 1949" shall be amended as "as from April 1, 1950" . The following one item shall be added to Article 2 paragraph 3: (15) Persons whose duties are not of a technical, professional, supervisory or administrative character employed by the National government in position for which they were referred as "unemployed" by Public Employment Security Offices for Work Relief Projects, or under the category of "unemployed" for Public Works Projects. In Article 19 paragraphs 2 and 4, Article 25, paragraph 1 and Article 26 paragraph 1, "the Prime Minister's Office" (Soricho) shall be amended as "the Prime Minister's Office" (Sorifu). In Article 9 paragraph 1 of the Supplementary Provisions "Vice-Minister" shall be amended as "Administrative Vice-Minister" . The following one Article shall be added to the Supplementary Provisions:
Article 17. Among each Minister prescribed in paragraph 1 of Article 55 shall be included the President of the Economic Stabilization Board as long as this Board continues its existence.
Supplementary provision to the Fourth Revision of the Law: This Law shall come into force as from June 1, 1949.
