    <LawTitle>Law concerning the Disposition of the Police Property and Others Owned by To, Do or Prefecture</LawTitle>
    <MainProvision>
      <Article Num="1">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The property (meaning the property corresponding to that of each item of Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the National Property Law, (Law No.73 of 1948);hereinafter the same and goods owned by To, Do or Prefecture which were being used for the police at the time of the enforcement of the Police Law (Law No.196 of 1947), and which are needed by the National Rural Police (including those used in common with the police or the fire brigade maintained by cities, towns or villages) shall be transferred without compensation to the State. The same shall apply to those which To, Do or Prefecture obtained for the use of the National Rural Police until June 30, 1948, after the enforcement of the Police Law.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum>2</ParagraphNum>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The land necessary for the National Rural Police, and the buildings which the National Rural Police uses in common with To, Do or Prefecture, both of which are owned by To, Do or Prefecture, shall not be transferred to the State in spite of the provisions of the preceding paragraph. The State shall use them without compensation as long as they are used by the police.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum>3</ParagraphNum>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The property which the State obtains or uses in accordance with the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs, and which the National Rural Police is now using in common with the police or the fire brigade maintained by cities, towns or villages, shall be used without compensation by the cities, towns or villages concerned.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="2">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 2.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In case there is a debt partaining to the property which the State obtains in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Article, the State shall succeed to the obligation payment for the principal and interest.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="3">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 3.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The provisions of Article 1 shall apply only to the police wire communication installations and materials mentioned below:</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
          <Item Num="1">
            <ItemTitle>1.</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Exchange installations (including telephones installed in the same premises with the switchboard);</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="2">
            <ItemTitle>2.</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Telephoto installations;</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="3">
            <ItemTitle>3.</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Telephone installations to be used for simultaneous instructions;</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="4">
            <ItemTitle>4.</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Materials necessary for maintaining and repairing the installations mentioned above.</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum>2</ParagraphNum>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The disposal of the police wire communication installations and materials owned by To, Do or Prefecture, excluding those mentioned in the preceding items shall be specifically fixed by ether Law.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="4">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 4.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>A possible dispute concerning an extent of the property and goods necessary for the National Rural Police mentioned in Article 1 and concerning the application of this Law, shall be decided by the Prime Minister on the suggestion of the Director-General of the Headquarters of the National Rural Police or the Governor of To, Do or Prefecture.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>

    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provision:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
