I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendment to the Local Autonomy Law. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twenty-ninth day of the twelfth month of the twenty-third year of Showa (December 29, 1948) Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Law No.280 Law for Partial Amendment to the Local Autonomy Law The Local Autonomy Law (Law No.67, of 1947) shall be partially amended as follows: In Paragraph 1, Article 10 of Supplementary Provisions, and affairs concerning the enforcement of Law for Allowances to Special Non-Repatriates (Law No.279 of 1948) "shall be added next to" affairs concerning salaries and other remuneration to the families thereof."And to the same paragraph the following proviso shall be added: "However, exceptions may be made by Cabinet Order." In Paragraph 2 of the same Article, "exceptions" shall read "necessary rules." Supplementary Provision: This Law shall come into force as from January 1, 1949.
