    <LawTitle>Law for Partial Amendment to the Riyoshi Law</LawTitle>

      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>Part of the Riyoshi Law (Law No.234, 1947) shall be amended as follows:</Sentence>

          <NewProvision>
            <Article Num="2">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 2.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence Num="1">Persons provided for by Article 47 of the School Education Law, who have experienced practical training for not less than one year, after having learned for not less than one year the necessary knowledge and technique for a barber in the barber training schools designated by the Minister of Welfare, may each become a barber under a license of the Motropolitan, Hokkaido or prefectural governor. However, the provisions nesesary for the practical training shall be provided by Ministerial Ordinance.</Sentence>

            <Article Num="3">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 3.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence Num="1">Persons provided for by Article 47 of the School Education Law, who have experienced practical training for not less than one year, after having learned for not less than one year the necessary knowledge and technique for a beauty operator in the beauty operator training schools designated by the Minister of Welfare, may each become a beauty operator under a license of the Metropolitan, Hokkaido or prefectural governor. However, the provisions for the the practical training shall be provided by Ministerial Ordinance.</Sentence>

              </Paragraph>

            <Article Num="4">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 4.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>When the Minister of Welfare desires to designate a barber training school or a beauty operator training school as provided for by Articles 2 and 3, he shall consult the Riyoshi Training School Designation Council.</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>
              </Paragraph>
              <Paragraph Num="2">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The provisions for the Riyoshi Training School Designation Council under the preceding paragraph shall be provided by Ministerial Ordinance.</Sentence>

              </Paragraph>
            </Article>

    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provisions:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Article Num="20">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 20.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>This Law shall come into force as from August 1, 1948.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="21">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 21.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>Persons provided for by Article 47 of the School Education Law, who pass examinations for barbers or beauty operators conducted by the Metropolitan, Hokkaido or prefectural governor by June 30, 1950, may each become a beauty operator under the license of the Metropolitan, Hokkaido or prefectural governor.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The examinations mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be conducted according to the preceding example notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 2 and 3.</Sentence>
