I hereby promulgate the Law for the Exceptions to the Law for the Business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxacautery, Judo-Orthopaedy, etc. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This sixteenth day of the seventh month of the twenty-third year of Showa (July 16, 1948) Prime Minister ASHIDA Hitoshi Law No.176 Law for the Exceptions to the Law for the Business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxacautery, Judo-Orthopaedy, etc.

Article 1. The prefectural governor shall have the authority to examine, till Nov.30, 1948, those who, in spite of being qualified, at the time of the enforcement of the Law for the Business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxacautery, JudoOrthopaedy, etc.(Law No.217 of 1947), for taking examination under Article 16 of the Supplementary Provisions of the said Law, could not take the examination owing to unavoidable circumstances.

Article 2. The prefectural governor shall have the authority to give licenses, till Dec.31, 1948, to those who passed the examination provided for in the preceding Article, in spite of the provisions of Article 2 of the Law for the Business of Massage, Acupuncture, Moxacautery, JudoOrthopaedy, etc.
