            <Sentence>Article 1. Items 3 to 6 of Paragraph 1 shall read as follows:</Sentence>

                <Sentence>Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees;</Sentence>

                <Sentence>Research Secretaries (Chosa-in) of the standing Committees;</Sentence>

            <Sentence>In Article 6, "or the Vice-Secretaries" shall be deleted.</Sentence>

            <Article Num="10">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 10.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>Each Secretariat shall have several Assistant Chiefs of Sergeants-at-Arms, who shall be appointed by the Secretary-General from among the Secretaries or the Clerks.</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>
              </Paragraph>
              <Paragraph Num="2">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The Assistant Chiefs of Sergeants-at-Arms shall engage in police affairs under the direction and supervision of the officials above them, and shall exercise direction and supervision over Sergeants-at-Arms.</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>

            <Article Num="11">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 11.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">

                  <Sentence>Each Secretariat shall have a certain number of Sergeants-at-Arms, who shall be appointed by the Secretary-General from among Clerks.</Sentence>

            <Article Num="12">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 12.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees, the Research Secretaries (Chosa-in) of the Standing Committees, and the Reseach Clerks (Chosa-shuji) of the Standing Committees, shall be appointed or dismissed, at the instance of the Chairmen of the Standing Committees, by the Secretary-General, upon the consent of the Speaker or the President and upon the approval of the Standing Committee for House Management. However, the Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees shall be selected by the Selection Committee whom the Speaker of the President shall nominate beforehand.</Sentence>

            <Article Num="13">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 13.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees shall undertake investigations under the direction of the Chairmen of the Standing Committees.</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>
              </Paragraph>
            </Article>

          <NewProvision>
            <Article Num="14">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 14.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The Research Secretaries (Chosa-in) of the Standing Committees shall undertake investigation business, under the directions of the Chairmen of the Standing Committees and Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees.</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>
              </Paragraph>
            </Article>

          <NewProvision>
            <Article Num="15">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 15.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>The Research Clerks (Chosa-shuji) of the Standing Committees shall engage in business pertaining to investigations under the direction of the officials adove them</Sentence>
                </ParagraphSentence>
              </Paragraph>
            </Article>

      </Paragraph>

    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provisions:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The Present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
      <Paragraph Num="2">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>Those who are holding the posts of Vice Secretaries of the Secretariats, Qualified Specialists (SemmonChosa-in) of the Standing Committee, or Clerks (Shoki) of the Standing Committee in either House at the time of coming into force of this Law shall be regarded to have been appointed Secretaries of the Secretariats, Qualified Specialists (Semmon-in) of the Standing Committees, or Research Clerks (Chosa-shuji) of the Standing Committees, respectively, with the salaries they are now drawing, provided that no other written appointments are issued.</Sentence>
