I hereby promulgate the Law concerning Merger of the Physical Institute of Radio Waves with the Electro-Technical Laboratory. The Regulations governing the Organization of the Physical Institute of Radio Waves (Imperial Ordinance No.374, 1942) shall be abrogated. 2. The following partial amendments shall be made to the Regulations governing the Organization of the Ministry of Education (Imperial Ordinance No.748, 1942): In Item 7 Article 6, "the Physical Institute of Radio Waves" shall be deleted. 3. The following partial amendments shall be made to the Regulations governing the Organization of the Electro-Technical Laboratory (Imperial Ordinance No.219, 1918): In Article 5, "branch offices or agencies" shall read "branch offices, agencies or observatories" , and as Paragraph 2 of the same Article, the following shall be added: With reference to the establishment of branch offices, agencies or observatories, Paragraph 4 of Article 156 of the Local Autonomy Law may apply. Supplementary Provisions: 1. The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation. 2. All the equipment and property which belong to the Physical Institute of Radio Waves at the time of the promulgation of the present Law, shall be transferred to the Electro-Technical Laboratory.
