I hereby promulgate the Law amending a part of the Law for the Measures to be taken in case where the Agricultural Land Development Works under the management of the Agricultural Land Development Corporation are succeeded to by the Government. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This thirty-first day of the fifth month of the twenty-third year of Showa (May 31, 1948) Prime Minister ASHIDA Hitoshi Law No.49 Law amending a part of the Law for the measures to be taken in case where the Agricultural Land Development Works under the management of the Agricultural Land Development Corporation are succeeded to by the Government The following partial amendments shall be made to the "Law for the Measures to be taken in case where the Agricultural Land Development Works under the management of the Agricultural Land Development Corporation are succeeded to by the Government" (Law No.176 of 1947):

Article 3. The Government may, pursuant to a Cabinet Order, increase the necessary number of officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, for the purpose of carrying out agricultural land development works by the Government which have hitherto been managed by the Agricultural Land Development Corporation in accordance with the provisions of Art.44 of the Agricultural Land Development Law and with its authority entrusted by the Government.
