I hereby promulgate the Law concerning the Partial Amendment to the Police Law. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twelfth day of the fourth month of the twenty-third year of Showa (April 12, 1948) Prime Minister ASHIDA Hitoshi Law No.23 The Police Law shall be partially amended as follows: In Article 9, "Procurator General" shall read "Attorney General." In Article 48, "in accordance with the standard fixed by the Public Safety Commission of a city, town or village," shall read "with the approval of the Public Safety Commission of a city, town or village."
