I hereby promulgate the Law concerning the partial amendment to the Local Autonomy Law. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This thirty-first day of the third month of the twenty-third year of Showa (March 31, 1948) Prime Minister ASHIDA Hitoshi Law No.14 The following amendment shall partially be made to the Local Autonomy Law: In Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the Supplementary Provisions, "April 1, 1998" shall read "May 1, 1948" and "promulgated" shall read "submitted to the Diet."
