I hereby give My sanction to the Ordinance relating to the abolition of the Imperial Household Ordinances for the Gakushuin Oaganization, etc.,and cause the same to be promulgated. Signed: HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twenty-ninth day of the third month of the twenty-second year of Showa (March 29, 1947) Countersigned: Minister of Imperial Household Viscount MATSUDAIRA Yoshitami Imperial Household Ordinance No. 9 The following Imperial Household Ordinances shall be abolished: The Imperial Household Ordinance for the Gakushuin Organization; The Imperial Household Ordinance for the Joshi Gakushuin Organization; The Imperial Household Ordinance for the Educational System of the Gakushuin; The Imperial Household Ordinance for the Educational System of the Joshi Gakushuin; The Imperial Household Ordinance No. 4, 1921; The Imperial Household Ordinance No. 1, 1944; The Imperial Household Ordinance No. 2, 1944; The Imperial Household Ordinance No. 7, 1945; Supplementary Provisions: The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation. The students who have completed the courses of grades in the school year of 1946 in all departments of the Gakushuin and Joshi Gakushuin under the provisions hitherto in force shall be considered to complete their respective courses on March 31, 1947. As for the arrangement of affairs relating to the accounts of the Gakushuin and Joshi Gakushuin, the Director of the Imperial Treasury Bureau shall perform the duties of the Chiefs of the sections in charge of the accounts of the respective schools.
