I hereby give My sanction to the Regulations governing the Organization of State Nutrition Research Institute and cause the same to be promulgated. Article 1. The State Nutrition Research Institute shall be under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Welfare and take charge of the matters concerning the investigation and researches of the nutrition and dietary life of the nation.

Article 2. The State Nutrition Research Institute shall have the following officials: Director Welfare Technicians Full-time 1st Class 1 Full-time 2nd Class 7 Full-time 3rd Class 13 Welfare Secretaries Full-time 2nd Class 1 Full-time 3rd Class 3 Besides the fixed number mentioned above, the Institute may have five 3rd Class Welfare Technicians unpaid.

Article 3. The State Nutrition Research Institute shall have some advisors. Advisors shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among the first Class officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and other ministries concerned as well as the learned and the experienced at the request of the Minister of Welfare.

Article 4. The Director shall be appointed from among the Welfare Technician of 1st Class. He shall take charge of the affairs concerned under the command and superintendence of the Minister of Welfare.

Supplementary Provisions: The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation. A part of the Regulations governing the Organization of Public Health Institute shall be amended as follows:

Article 1. Public Health Institute shall be under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Welfare and take charge of the affairs concerning the fostering and training of public health technicians and the investigation and researches concerning the national health and hygiene.

Article 2 shall be partly amended as follows: Concerning Welfare Technicians, Full-time 21 Full-time 23 shall read Full-time 23. Full-time 27 . Article 5 shall be deleted.
