I hereby give My sanction to the Regulations governing the Organization of Quarantine Offices, and cause the same to be promulgated. Article 1. Quarantine Offices shall be under the control of the Minister of Welfare and shall conduct business concerning quarantine and epidemic prevention at the marine port and the air port. Names and locations of quarantine offices shall be fixed by the Minister of Welfare.

Article 2. The following officials shall be put in all quarantine offices: Chiefs Secretaries of Welfare Ministry: Full-time 5 persons 2nd class Full-time 27 persons 3rd class Technical Officials of Welfare Ministry: Full-time 43 persons 2nd class 1 among them may be 1st class. Full-time 22 persons 3rd class The first or second class technical officials shall be assigned to Chiefs.

Article 3. Chiefs shall be under the command and supervision of Minister of Welfare, and conduct business and supervise officials attached to their offices.

Supplementary Provisions: The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation. The Regulations governing the Temporary Organization for Marine Quarantine Offices shall be abolished.
