I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendment of the Imperial Ordinance No. 11 of 1947, Law No. 60 of 1946 concerning the Enforcement of the Law relating to the Special Instance of Government Contract, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 119
Part of the Imperial Ordinance No. 11, 1947, shall be amended as follows:
Art. 2.
The designation of the defined amount of payment to the other party of the specific contract in accordance with par. 1, Art. 1 of the Law shall, in the case where the other party has made an application to the Government for designation of the defined amount of payment within two months from the day following the affirmation of completion of the construction or operations by the official in charge of the contract concerned, be made within the periods prescribed hereunder counting from the day following receipt of the application:

Three months for definite amounts applied for not more than three million yen per case;

2.
Four months for definite amounts applied for not less than three million yen per case.
With the exception of the cases mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the designation of the defined amount of payment to the other party of the specific contract in accordance with par. 1, Art. 1 of the Law shall be made within a year counting from the day following the affirmation of completion of the construction or operations by the official in charge of the contract concerned.
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Imperial Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
As regards the specific contract as to which application for the designation of the defined amount of payment was made by the other party before the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance, the designation of the defined amount of payment as provided for in par. 1, Art. 1 of the Law shall be made within the period prescribed in the revised provision of each number of par. 1, Art. 2, counting from the day following the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance.
As regards the specific contract as to which the official in charge of the contract affirmed completion of the construction or operations before the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance, the designation of the defined amount of payment in accordance with the provision of par. 1, Art. 1 of the Law shall be made within a year counting from the day following the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance.
