I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning partial amendments to the Imperial Ordinance No. 101 of 1926 (the Imperial Ordinance concerning the prohibition of the organization of political parties and associations and others) in pursuance of the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of 1945 concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the Acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration and cause the same to be promulgated. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This fifteenth day of the third month of the twenty-second year of Showa (March 15, 1947) Countersigned: Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Minister for Home Affairs UEHARA Etsujiro Imperial Ordinance No. 84 The following amendment shall partially be made to the Imperial Ordinance No. 101 of 1946: In Article 5, paragraph 3, "preceding two paragraphs" shall read "preceding No. 6" Supplementary Provisions: The present Ordinance shall come inte force as from the day of its promulgation. The leaders of the organization which comes under the regulations specified in Article 5, paragraph 1 of the Imperial Ordinance No. 101 of 1946, and which will exist at the time of the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance are required to send the report, following the regulations specified in the said Article, paragraph 2, within three days from the day of the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance. The provisions specified in Article 7 of the Imperial Ordinance No. 101 of 1946 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the case of the preceding paragraph.
