        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>Law No.4 of 1944 shall partially be amended as follows:</Sentence>

            <Article Num="1">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 1.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>Officers and other personnel of the public corporations (Eidan), the special depository banks (Kinko), or establishments corresponding to these, as designated in the Annexed Table A shall be regarded as officers engaging in public business in accordance with Laws and Ordinances, regarding the application of penalties.</Sentence>

            <Article Num="2">
              <ArticleTitle>Article 2.</ArticleTitle>
              <Paragraph Num="1">
                <ParagraphNum/>
                <ParagraphSentence>
                  <Sentence>In case officers and other personnel of companies established by special Laws and Ordinances, those of companies or associations which perform the management of railway, electricity, gas or any other enterprise which is, in its nature, led to monopoly enterprise or which transact business concerning the control in accordance with the Temporary Demand and Supply Adjustment Law or other Laws and Ordinances relating to the control of the economies, or those of establishments corresponding to those (the said companies and associations), as designated in the Annexed Table B have received a bribe, or requested or agreed to receive it, concerning their office, they shall be punished by the penal servitude for a period of not exceeding 3 years. In case those persons, by so doing, have committed dishonest and improper acts or did not act properly and befittingly, the shall be punished by the penal servitude for a period of not exceeding 7 years.</Sentence>

            <Sentence>In Article 6, "organizations," and "and determined by the Imperial Ordinance" shall be deleted and "a government office" shall read "an administrative office."</Sentence>

            <Sentence>In Article 7, "the control business or the management business for the control" shall read "the business concerning the control" and "the said business" shall read "the said duties."</Sentence>

    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provisions:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">

        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Law shall come into force as from the day when the period of ten days has elapsed counting from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
      <Paragraph Num="2">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The application of penal regulations to any act done before the enforcement of the present Law (as to the organizations established in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 1 or 3 of Article 18 of the National Mobilization Law, during the period the said Law is still in effect) shall be governed by the provisions hitherto in force.</Sentence>
