I hereby promulgate the Law concerning Lump Sum Grant for Public Servants. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twentieth day of the tenth month of the twenty-second year of Showa (October 20, 1947) Prime Minister KATAYAMA Tetsu Law No.119 The Government shall be authorized to grant in lump the total average not exceeding 600 yen per capita in the ratios of 20 per cent to 120 per cent of their monthly pay to government officials and those treated as such, unclassified officials, junior clerks, trades and crafts, who are in service on the very day of enforcing the present Law, being designated by the Minister of Finance. The necessary details concerning the coverage of payments basic to the present grant referred to the above paragraph, its calculation ratio and administrative matters regarding it shall be determined by the Minister of Finance. Supplementary Provision: The date of enforcement of the present Law shall be within 5 days from its enactment and be determined by the Cabinet Order.
